Increased Minority Graduate Students

Ethnic Inclusion Logo

In 2002, only  8% of UI engineering students who were enrolled in the PHD program were US  minorities. By 2014, this number had consistently increased to 21%. THe number  of women enrolled in PHD programs  over this time frame has fluctuated  within a range of 21and 31%. It is the goal of ethnic inclusion to have this figures rise even higher in the future. This figure normalizes each demographic group with respect to their demographic equivalent at the University of Iowa with respect to gender, residency, ethnicity and department at both masters and PHD level.
