Mark Arlinghaus received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 Mark worked for Procter and Gamble's Food and Beverage Division as a product developer. His primary focus was novel roasting techniques for improving coffee flavor. In 1998 Mark moved to Minnesota and joined the Pillsbury Company (now General Mills.) From 1998 to 2005 Mark worked in the refrigerated dough business designing processing and packaging equipment. Since 2006, he has focused on bulk handling and crystallization equipment for shortening and oil. In addition to his work at General Mills, Mark chaired the Upper Midwest Section of AIChE in 2006 and is a member of the American Oil Chemists' Society.
