Tim Kortemeyer received both a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (1991) and an MBA (2001) from The University of Iowa. Tim has worked as an Engineer and Operations Supervisor for Cargill (1991-1994 and 1994-1996, respectively) and as a District Manager for BetzDearborn (1996-1999). He then started working at Penford Products Co. where he worked as a Production Engineer, Operations Supervisor and as a Team Leader in the manufacturing operations until 2001. He has subsequently served as a Joint Venture Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Manager (2001-2003), business unit manager of the Company’s co-products business (July 2003 to November 2004), and director of the Company’s specialty starches product lines, responsible for sales, marketing and business development (November 2004 until August 2005), and General Manager of Penford Products Co. (August 2005 to June 2006). Furthermore, since October 2005 Tim has served as Vice President of Penford Corporation. In June 2006 he was also appointed as President of Penford Products Co., Penford’s industrial ingredients business. Tim currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bioscience Alliance of Iowa, BIOWA and the Corn Refiners Association.
