Course info & registration

• EE undergraduate course webpages provide information for students registered for specific courses.
• The EE portion of the UI General Catalog provides an overview of the EE program as well as the suggested curriculum with links to course descriptions.
• The College of Engineering portion of the UI General Catalog provides information specific to the UI College of Engineering, including its mission statement, descriptions of undergraduate and graduate programs, and the College's administrative organization.
• UI General Catalog On-line provides information about The University of Iowa, including information about each of the colleges, administrative officers, and course information.
• ISIS is the UI on-line registration system. Students can also check their student records, browse the course list, and check their U-Bill here.
• Hawk ID is your UI computer name. Click on the link to find information about your password and the services that require it such as ISIS.

Requirements, policies, & general info

• Electrical Engineering's Undergraduate Handbook contains a variety of useful information about the ECE curriculum including guidelines for choosing technical electives. This is only valid for the OLD curriculum.
• The College of Engineering has course requirements in the social sciences and humanities; check here for those requirements (PDF).
• The UI Registrar's Office homepage provides significant deadlines, an events calendar, tuition information, and UI policies and regulations.

Resources & services

• The College of Engineering Student Development Center provides analysis of course credit, assessment of academic progress, academic counseling, graduation analysis, career counseling and planning, Co-op and internship information, and help finding a job.
• The UI Computing Services and the College of Engineering's Computing Services each provide computer equipment and support for engineering students.
• The UI libraries homepage provides links to InfoHawk and to other library resources and services.
• The UI engineering library homepage provides links to library resources and services specifically for engineering students and faculty.
• The College of Engineering Career Services provides assistance to students seeking employment after graduation.

• The College of Engineering Ambassador Program makes available current engineering students who offer support and information to prospective and other current engineering students.

Student organizations & opportunities

• The College of Engineering and the College of Business each provide a program in entrepreneurship for engineers. These programs offer a unique and valuable opportunity to engineering students to learn about starting a business, obtaining patents, etc.
• The UI Honors Program provides special academic opportunities to students who are highly motivated.
• Women in Science and Engineering provides a mentoring program and a learning community for women pursuing fields in science or engineering.
• The UI Study Abroad Program and the College of Engineering's International Program provide opportunities for U.S. citizens to study abroad.
• The UI International Programs provide support and opportunities for international students attending The University of Iowa.
