The
state's engineering colleges work hard to develop
partnerships with businesses to help provide
technological answers for the environmental,
agricultural, industrial, and biomedical challenges
facing us today. Iowa businesses, industry, utilities,
health care providers, and community leaders have
positioned themselves at the interface between ideas on
campus and the problems of the world. just look at some
of these joint ventures:
- Co-ops
and internships -- Iowa companies
helping to train and employ Iowa engineering
students
- Technology
transfer -- Iowa engineering faculty
members and students developing new ideas that
can be applied by Iowa companies to real-world
problems
