    Telepresence Robot Taking Shape

  • Open: Engineering Assistant in Electronics (5/15)

    The University of Iowa College of Engineering Electronics Shop seeks an individual with good people skills in the position of engineering assistant in electronics. The position involves point of sale and inventory work with electronics parts as well as consulting with customers regarding electronics purchases. A BS degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required. A two year AA degree in Electronics with four years of related experience qualifies as being equivalent.

    Updated Network Connect Clients 3/15

    There are new Network Connect clients available for use with the Connect2 VPN. You must download and install the updated client to use the VPN. If you have problems with the automagic update, get new clients.

    LabQuest 2 Data Collector

    Vernier LabQuest 2 is a data collector to be used with LabQuest accessories. It includes a built-in graphing and analysis application and  many types of sensors and probes: EKG, motion, and surface temperature sensors, low-g and 3-axis accelerometers, electrode amplifier, thermocouple, goniometer, and more. The LabQuest 2 is part of the Tool Library available for checkout from the Lichtenberger Engineering Library.
