I am one of three undergraduate academic advisors as well as the Director of Tutoring, Records and Retention. My role as the Director of Engineering Tutoring Center allows me to manage and maintain a student success tool within the College of Engineering. Our Tutoring Center located in 3124 SC is open Sunday through Thursday 6:00-9:00 PM. The center has nearly 50 engineering tutors across all of our majors ready to assist students in need of help. Whether it's refreshing students on course material or offering assistance with homework problems, the Engineering Tutoring Center is the place to come get your work done.
I am responsible for evaluating and updating degree audits and ensuring all students are meeting degree requirements. This allows me to assist students seeking to transfer into our college, to take a course at home over break or plan for study abroad. Setting up an appointment with me will ensure your credits will apply directly toward your engineering degree.
I moved around throughout my childhood and finally settled in Iowa in 1991. I attended Iowa Wesleyan College, located in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and then transferred to the University of Iowa, where I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. I have since received my Masters in Human Resource Management. I am currently working on my Doctorate of Education in Higher Education, Leadership and Management. I am married with three children and am very active in my school district as a member of our Elementary Support Organization. I currently hold a District Board member seat. I love my job working with college students, I enjoy participating in this part of their life, and pushing them to achieve their dreams.
