Originally from Dubuque, Lisa Digman earned three degrees from the University of Northern Iowa: A BA in Industry, a BA in Technology Education, and a MA in Technology. She worked 13 years in business and industry at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Argonne National Lab, and McGraw-Hill before beginning her teaching career. Lisa taught 7 years in Industrial Technology and 7 years in Project Lead The Way, being certified in Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles Of Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, and Engineering Design and Development. She was also a Master Teacher for Introduction to Engineering Design.
Lisa is currently the Project Lead the Way Diversity/Implementation Consultant for Iowa and, as such, she is working closely with community colleges, middle schools and high schools to grow the PLTW program in Iowa and to directly address the needs of minorities and girls who are underrepresented in STEM programming, especially PLTW.
