In improving the Welcoming Environment the College created the Faculty & Staff Fostering Inclusion Program (FSFI). This program provides a forum for all faculty and staff to discuss diversity issues and conduct diversity sensitivity workshops. FSFI is co-chaired by Professor Jerald Schnoor and Ms. Nancy Schneider.
| Ph.D. in Chemical & Biochemical Engineering, August 2008: Angela McIver I worked on a project that used microbial cells to produce chemicals in an environmentally safe manner. My project was in collaboration with the Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry department in the College of Pharmacy. Without the Ethnic Inclusion for Iowa, I would not have known about the many opportunities Iowa has to offer. |
