Mission & Vision

The mission of Ethnic Inclusion Effort for Iowa Engineering is to develop and implement integrative programing to:
• Contribute to solving national ethnic diversity issues in the engineering discipline
• Provide a model, welcoming and inclusive environment that drives towards excellence in engineering
• Promote cultural awareness/sensitivity in all Iowa Engineers

Iowa offered me a life time worth of experiences to help me grow. My research project was aimed at characterizing glucagon (protein used to treat hypoglycemic patients) aggregation with laser scattering techniques. The Ethnic Inclusion Effort for Iowa Engineering program offered me the opportunity to interact with professors from around the world.
