Awarded to a senior. Must be interested in a career in consulting.  Student must possess leadership qualities and the ability to juggle multiple activities.  Applicant must display strong academic performance, a 3.2 GPA or better, and be a US citizen.

Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa Scholarship
This fund is used for scholarship support for civil engineering undergraduate students at the College of Engineering.

Emerson Engineering Scholarships, Fisher Division
Award(s) will be given to University of Iowa engineering students pursuing chemical, electrical, industrial or mechanical engineering with a UI cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better. Recipient must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Howard R. Green Company
Awarded to a student with junior or senior status pursuing a Bachelors Degree in civil or environmental engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. Preference will be given to students who have participated in engineering student organizations and are seeking employment in Iowa post graduation.

Rockwell Collins Education Fund
Applicant must possess strong leadership skills such as positions held in the classroom or outside activities and be able to juggle multiple activities at once. Must display strong academic performance, a 3.0 GPA or better. Preference will be given to women & minorities and who are available to consider an internship or co-op opportunity with Rockwell Collins.

Stanley Consultants Charitable Foundation
Awarded to a junior student majoring in chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.  Recipient must display leadership skills such as positions held in the classroom or outside activities including student and community organizations, volunteerism, paid jobs during school, etc. Must display strong academic performance, a 3.0 GPA or better in their engineering major.  In the case of equally qualified candidates, financial need and female/minority status will be given consideration.

Awarded to outstanding students who have completed his or her sophomore year.

Peter L. Berntsen Graduate Scholarship Fund
Awarded to graduate students in electrical and computer communications engineering. Preference shall be given to students of Scandinavian origin.

William C. Blackburn Engineering Scholarship
Must be a full-time upper-level student in good standing, should be a U.S. citizen of any ethnic background. He or she should be of good character, be an asset to the University, have a reasonable GPA, and show promise of being a solid addition to the engineering world.

Richard and Alice Bogue Engineering Scholarship
Support for engineering students who demonstrate financial need, with preference given to students from Ida Grove/Battle Creek High School.

David R. Buchanan Scholarship
Awarded to five students from biomedical, chemical and biochemical, electrical and computer, or mechanical. The recipients shall be native born, U.S. citizens and will be selected based primarily on academic excellence, with financial need a secondary consideration.

James and Marie Buck Scholarship Fund
Awarded to one or more students who are a junior, senior or graduate level student in industrial engineering, who are interested in human factors (special interest in ergonomics) or in management (special interest in economics).

Walter R. Chapman and Helen M. Chapman UI Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to a graduate of Fort Dodge High School, Fort Dodge, IA or Nodaway Valley High School, Greenfield, IA.  Graduates from Webster and Adair counties in State of Iowa are eligible; preference given to a student who has played a musical instrument in high school band or orchestra; demonstrate financial need.

Joanne and Robert M. Chiusano Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to an electrical/computer engineering female student who demonstrates financial need. Preference given to ethnically-diverse background; US citizen; also based upon academic performance.

Clarence H. Clark Fund
Awarded to a biomedical engineering student at the beginning of his or her senior year.  The recipient should be a U.S. citizen who has demonstrated an interest in pursuing graduate work in biomedical engineering. The recipient must be in good academic standing, with preference given to those with financial need.

Melville F. Clements Scholarship
Scholarship awarded on the basis of scholastic ability, promise of professional success in engineering, qualities of leadership, and financial need.

Ray Collins Scholarship
Awarded to an Iowa resident who serves as a peer consultant in the Hanson Center for Technical Communication and who is in need of financial assistance.

John J. Corcoran Scholarship
Awarded to one or more undergraduate students in the College of Engineering.

J. W. Deegan Fund
Awarded to an Industrial Engineering student selected as the Top Industrial Engineering Student by the Tau Beta Pi group.

James Deluhery Engineering Scholarship
One scholarship awarded to a sophomore-level student; one scholarship awarded to a junior-level student; and one scholarship awarded to a senior-level student. Criteria is need-based, U.S. citizens, who must have graduated from an Iowa high school and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Tom Dimond Fund for Excellence in Engineering
Awarded to talented and deserving students.

Fethke Industrial Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to an industrial engineering major who has junior standing. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, good academic standing.  Preference shall be given to a student from Woodbury County.

George C. Flick Engineering Scholarship
Awarded upon need and merit to deserving students.

Clifford and JoRuth Fudge Scholarship
Awarded to deserving students who graduated from high school in Iowa and with financial need (bottom 1/3 of group with most need).  Recipient should possess good character, be hard working, and may have been employed during high school. First preference is given to students involved in scouts or similar character building organization.

Dr. Arthur R. Giaquinta Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to one or more deserving students in the graduate program at the IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering.  Preference is given to merit and need.

Awarded to a resident of the State of Iowa, minimum ACT cumulative score of 28, and a 3.0 GPA or better.

Awarded to a female engineering student who is an Iowa resident, with first preference given to graduates of North Linn High School.

Awarded to Iowa residents with first preference to students from O’Brien and/or Hancock Counties. Based on need and merit.

John Fisher Kennedy Memorial Fund
(Applicants must write a brief (about 300 words) description of their interest in hydroscience research and provide two letters of recommendation.) Awarded to an undergraduate Civil and Environmental or Mechanical Engineering student who is a citizen of the United States, has achieved academic standing sufficiently advanced to assure senior status in the fall semester immediately following notice of the award, has earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on course work toward the Bachelor of Science degree in the College of Engineering, and shows potential for success in a field of the hydrosciences.  The recipient must also show integrity of character and qualities of leadership, demonstrates qualities of ingenuity and inquisitiveness, and illustrates a breadth of interest in areas outside of engineering.

William W. Kersten—IWPCA Scholarship Fund
Awarded to an M.S. degree student in Environmental Engineering who is an Iowa resident, a high school or college athlete, and/or in need of an extra stipend to help keep the individual in school.
Wilbur and Helen Kime Memorial Fund
Merit based scholarship awarded to a student studying computer engineering. If a qualified candidate does not apply, the scholarship may be awarded to a student studying electrical engineering.

Lloyd Knowler Quality Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to a junior or senior industrial engineering major.  Based on merit.

Kook-Wha and Kwang-Kuk Koh Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to a deserving undergraduate, chemical engineering student.

Awarded to an industrial engineering student, based on merit and financial need.

B.J. Lambert Scholarship
Awarded to a civil engineering undergraduate student.

William Lichtenberger Scholarship
Half of the funding directed to chemical engineering students and the other half directed to engineering students majoring in any other engineering department. The recipients must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing.

Provides general scholarship support to College of Engineering students.

Awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior, all engineering disciplines, based on financial need.

Awarded to a civil undergraduate student.

Tom and Sue Lowenberg Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to a student majoring in civil and environmental engineering with a grade point average between 2.8 and 3.2.

Vincent A. Mascagni Scholarship
Awarded to two students with a G.P.A. of 3.0 and who are in their sophomore, junior or senior year. First preference is given to graduates of Clinton County high schools. Next preference is given to graduates of eastern Iowa high schools.

Phillip O. Mayberry Engineering Scholarship
Awarded to deserving undergraduate; resident of Iowa.

C. P. McGrath Memorial Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need with reasonable academic progress toward graduation; sophomore, junior or senior students with first preference given to students from Iowa.

Awarded to one or more female students who are U.S. citizens studying mechanical engineering, who have a minimum GPA of 3.25, and are engaged in leadership roles at the University of Iowa. 

Richard K. Miller Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a student who has begun their studies in the Technological Entrepreneurship Certificate Program, have an Iowa cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, actively pursuing coursework toward a B.S. in Engineering.

Philip F. Morgan Scholarship Fund
Awarded to a junior or senior student studying Civil and Environmental Engineering who has a grade point average of 2.5 and is interested in the field of public works.

Awarded to an undergraduate civil engineering student who has completed the class Mechanics of Fluids and Transfer Processes with a grade of A, and have at least one year of coursework remaining toward the BSE degree; has earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on at least 24 semester hours of University of Iowa coursework toward the BSE degree, and shows potential for achieving distinction in the field of hydraulics.

Betty Pearl Simon Prize
Awarded annually to a graduating senior in the Industrial Engineering/Ergonomics program who, through his or her performance, shows interest and motivation for research, and GPA has demonstrated a potential for a successful research career.  Preference is given to a student who plans to do graduate work in the Sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration.

Need and merit based scholarship awarded to deserving graduate students in Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.  The student shall have been accepted as a participant in a program of research directed by his/her major professor in the area of thermal-fluids.  The student must be assigned research activities appropriate for the preparation of a thesis or dissertation, and the student's study program must include academic courses to prepare him/her for the research activities.
