Jerry Newton is Global Director of Hydraulic Cylinders for Deere & Co.
Newton started his career as a mechanical systems designer in Entergy Corporation's nuclear power group, and later worked as a consultant in Booz Allen Hamilton's energy practice. After joining Deere in 2000, he progressed through assignments in engineering, operations, and market development and also completed an expatriate assignment to the Russian Federation. While living in Moscow, he founded Deere's first manufacturing operation in Russia, John Deere Orenburg, which assembles air seeding equipment for the CIS markets. In March of 2007, he was appointed Operations Manager for John Deere's Davenport Works facility.
Newton graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1995 and received an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 2000.
