The Program for Enhanced Design Experience (PEDE) is a two-semester design sequence (typically during the senior year) that is closely tied to actual industrial design projects. All PEDE projects have an industrial sponsor and are guided by a lead engineer from industry and a faculty adviser from the home department, usually with the assistance of a dedicated teaching assistant.

The admission process for PEDE takes place during the Spring semester.  Students apply on ICON by clicking on 2016-2017 Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Sr Design Application Portal under Ongoing semester (you will need to click on the "semester" drop-down list and select "Ongoing").

To apply:
go to the Dropbox and upload your resume to "Request for Resume"
and then go to Surveys to complete the survey form.

PEDE is required by the Mechanical Engineering Design EFA.
