Biomedical Engineering Senior Design Day Set for April 28
The UI Department of Biomedical Engineering will hold its annual Senior Design Day April 28 at the Illinois Room Iowa Memorial Union, on the University of Iowa campus. The day features biomedical engineering seniors presenting their work in 15 sessions from 9:00 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
UI Engineering alumnus Dr. Will Lack (BS 2002 biomedical engineering), a resident at Ui Hospitals & Clinics, will deliver the keynote address immediate after the start of the day's activities at 8:15 a.m.
There will be four sessions: Peripheral Devices, Design for Research-Orthopaedic and Cardiovascular, Implants and Interventional Devices, and Design for Research-Radiation Oncology.
A banquet will be held from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Iowa City Hotel Vetro, with special speaker Dr. Edwin Stone, M.D., Ph.D., professor of ophthalmology and visual sciences, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
