College of Engineering Conducts Spring Commencement Ceremonies
The University of Iowa will confer degrees on Engineering graduates during commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18.
The Graduate College will hold commencement ceremonies at 3:00 p.m. (pre-processional begins at 2:55 p.m.) Saturday, May 17, in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Degrees for MS and PhD candidates will be conferred by UI President Sally Mason.
The College of Engineering commencement ceremony for BS degree candidates will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in Hancher Auditorium. Almost 170 degrees will be conferred by President Mason.
The College will host a commencement brunch for graduating seniors and their families from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday, May 18, in the Seamans Center. Invitations already have gone out to students and parents. Each graduating senior received four complimentary tickets for the brunch; they also can purchase additional tickets for $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Faculty and staff of the College also have been invited to attend.
The Graduate College and College of Engineering undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be broadcast live on UITV. The commencement events also will be streamed live over the Internet at UITV's Web site mms://winmedia.uiowa.edu/events.
