The conference will focus on to prepare students for the cross–cutting issues they will face in today’s global market and cultivate the knowledge, passion and skills they will need to be successful.

Attendees will share their experiences in key areas such as program leadership, multidisciplinary approaches, assessment, sustainability, standards in instruction, teams, outreach, program content, and innovations in the classroom or lab.

Keynote speaker will be Robert Chiusano, retired executive vice president and chief operating officer of Rockwell Collins, Inc. and author of the soon-to-be-published book, "Mediocrity is NOT an option."

Featured speaker will be Steve McGuire, UI Professor of 3D Design & Metal Arts and Head of Dimensional Practice.  He focuses on the aesthetic of “do it yourself” and is working on the Design It, Build It, Ride It project, which centers on titanium hand-built bicycles and the stories of time trialing them.
