Thursday, April 25, 2013

The latest issue of the digital Iowa Engineer Magazine is now available at:

This issue features:

  • A new Engineering AmTech research group that was formed to design, create, and test—both virtually and physically—a wide variety of electromechanical and biomedical components, systems and processes. Currently, the group is working on projects ranging from printed circuit boards for automobiles and aircraft to replacement parts for damaged and failing human organs and tissue.
  • Engineering alumnus and advisory board member Bob Whitmore, and the success he's had in a "hard-driving" industry as senior executive at Seagate Technology.

It also has traditional favorite features, such as College News, Class Notes, and other informative sections, including a report on the college's new wind energy certificate.
Iowa Engineer magazine continues to be the best way for Engineering alumni and friends to find out what fellow graduates are doing, learn more how students are learning to become an "engineer...and something more," and discover how faculty and staff members create breakthroughs in research and teaching excellence.
