Daily Iowan: UI Tries Coal Alternatives

The Daily Iowan published a front-page major news story on how the UI is trying coal alternatives, such as seed corn and soybean seeds to wean University steam boilers off fossil fuels to produce electricity.  College of Engineering students and faculty researchers are working on safe ways to burn toxic seeds in the UI Power Plant as a way of replacing coal.
