Ehmann to Present May 1 Mechanical Engineering Grabbing the Globe Seminar
Kornel F. Ehmann, professor of mechanical engineering at Northwestern University, will be the guest presenter at the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering “Grabbing the Globe” seminar May 1.
The seminar is scheduled for 3:30-4:20 p.m. in 101 Becker Communications Studies Building.
Ehmann's research interests lie in micro/meso-scale manufacturing; precision engineering; machine tool dynamics and control; material removal processes; automation and robotics. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
The "Grabbing the Globe" seminar series recognizes the late UI Distinguished Engineering Alumni Academy member Randall Meyer (BS 1948 with highest distinction in mechanical engineering) and his wife, Barbara.
