Elkins Named Finalist for National Dissertation Award

Jacob Elkins, MD/PhD candidate in biomedical engineering, has been recognized as one of two finalists in his field of mathematics, physical sciences, and engineering at the recent Council of Graduate Schools annual meeting.

His dissertation, "Biomechanics of Failure Modalities in Total Hip Arthroplasty," details his research on the failure of total hip implants due to impingement and/or dislocation.
