Peige Zhou, a UI senior from West Des Moines, Iowa, is mixing biomedical engineering and music.

Peige Zhou studies both biomedical engineering and violin at the University of Iowa, serves as a lead tutor for other budding engineers, and plays in the School of Music's symphony orchestra. Oh, yeah, she also juggles.

As Zhou notes in this profile — created by student video producers from the Office of Admissions — the mix of communities centered around different interests makes a big university feel so much smaller. She hopes to put her academic experience to work developing prosthetics and medical devices.
