Engineering alumna Michelle Hall (BSE 2001 biomedical engineering), Prosthetic Residency Director and Certified Prosthetist Orthotist at Gillette Childrens Specialty

Healthcare, St. Paul, MN, is recipient of a Dean's Award for Early Career Achievement and will present a special seminar at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, in Shambaugh Auditorium.

Hall will speak on "Finding Your Way to a Career in Orthotics & Prosthetics."  She is Howard R. Thranhardt Lecture Series Winner and Fellow of the Academy with Distinction, both from the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists.  She also is Career Development Award Recipient from the American Association of University Women.

The Dean's Award for Distinguished Service is presented to alumni under 40 years old at the time of selection who have accomplished remarkable early career success with their professional field or industry.

Hall is a member of the Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board.
