Researchers at the Iowa Flood Center are developing technologies to help Iowans better manage their watersheds and prepare for a wetter future.

A slew of innovative projects, including the creation of low cost stream gauges, real-time river monitoring, and updated floodplain maps, have drawn national attention to this Iowa effort.

Local communities and the Flood Center are already working together to prevent future flood damage.
