Lin Elected Fellow of ASME

Ching-Long Lin, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering, faculty research engineer at IIHR--Hydroscience & Engineering, and researcher at the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging, has been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Lin's current research at the College of Engineering focuses on multiscale simulation of gas flow and particle transport in the human lungs, turbulent flow in complex geometry, fluid-structure interaction, and parallel computing.

ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society.
