May 1 Is Phil's Day at the College of Engineering
May 1 is Phil’s Day at the College of Engineering!
On Thursday, May 1, the UI -- and the College of Engineering -- will celebrate the Third annual "Phil's Day" on campus.
Phil--short for philanthropy--refers to the many faculty, staff, alumni, and friends who make donations to the UI, as well as the collective impact of their gifts. If you have made a donation to the University or have been the beneficiary of a gift to the UI (or both) . . . Phil's Day is for you. The University of Iowa is taking a day to celebrate philanthropy on campus.
Here is the Schedule of Events (schedule is tentative and subject to change):
We’re tagging campus! Posters and gold ribbons will highlight buildings and programs made possible by donations, and represent people who give, or benefit from those gifts.
Phil’s Day prize patrol: wear your “I Am Phil” sticker (available at postcard signings), and you could be a winner!
11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Stop by and sign a thank-you card for a donor!
Engineering Location: Second Floor Lobby of the Seamans Center
I Love Iowa. I Love Phil.
Stop by the Pentacrest and tell us why you love Iowa—and Phil! Student Philanthropy Group members will be on hand to take your photo.
