Mayberry Elected to UI Alumni Association Board of Directors

Engineering alumnus Philip O. Mayberry (BS 1967 industrial engineering) has been elected to the Board of Directors of The University of Iowa Alumni Association for a three-year term, starting July 1, 2010.  Mayberry will serve as the representative of the College of Engineering on the board.

Mayberry has been engaged with both the College and the University since graduation and has served as a liaison between the UI and Emerson Process Management/Fisher Controls most of his career.  He currently is customer event director at Emerson Process Management.  Previously, he was vice president-marquee accounts.

Mayberry also serves on the College's Advisory Board (since 2000), providing guidance and counsel on key academic, research, and service issues.  He also has devoted many years of service to the University as a member and president of the Marshall County (IA) I-Club.

Mayberry succeeds Engineering alumnus Thomas J. Lowenberg (BS 1962 civil engineering MS 1963 civil and environmental engineering) who has served as both Alumni Association board member and board president during his terms.
