NADS Publishes Latest Issue of The Driver's Seat

The National Advanced Driving Simulator, a unit of the UI Center for Computer-Aided Design (NADS) has published the latest issue of The Driver's Seat, a digital newsletter reporting on programs, initiatives, and activities at the world's most sophisticated driving simulator.

The newsletter covers:

  • How NADS has been selected to receive a University Transportation Center grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Research and Innovative Technology Administration
  • A MiniSim multi-site study
  • Image generator upgrades
  • A presentation by Dr. Gary Gaffney, a faculty affiliate from the UI Department of Psychiatry on mobility
  • A published paper by Chris Schwarz on automation
