Greg Ongie, graduate student in mathematics and graduate research assistant, received the Best Paper Award at the 2015 International Symposium on

Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) April 16-19 in New York.

Ongie's paper is on super-resolution MRI.  He is studying under Mathews Jacob, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, and researcher at the Center for Computer-Aided Design and the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging.  Ongie's area of focus is on designing novel image reconstruction algorithms with applications to accelerated MRI.

The sympsium is a joint initiative of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) and IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS).
