The Operator Performance Laboratory (OPL), a unit of the UI Center for Computer-Aided Design, is currently outfitting two Delfin Aero Vodochody L-29 jets it uses for a broad range of research projects.

Updated wiring harnesses are being installed to enable use of the latest version of the Common Range Integrated Instrumentation System (CRIIS) payload which is

undergoing airborne testing at various test ranges.

OPL engineer and UI Engineering alumna Amanda Greene (BSE 2015 electrical engineering) is fabricating a wire harness for the external wing hard-point for the test aircraft.  The hard-point carries different scientific and engineering payloads including the CRIIS.
