Rockwell Collins and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) are holding a Welcome Back to School event from 3:00-6:00 p.m. today, Thursday, August 27 in the Second Floor

Complimentary yogurt will be served and there will be an FTC field set-up, complete with driveable robots and managed by high school participants. College of Engineering students are invited to stop by to get some free yogurt, drive some robots, check out some potential Rockwell Collins internship opportunities, and to stop by our FTC informational booth to find out how students can donate just a little of your time to become a volunteer for the game that is "the hardest fun you'll ever have."

The college of engineering was selected by US FIRST to coordinate FIRST Tech Challenge activities for the State of Iowa. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 by Segway inventor Dean Kamen to encourage student team building skills, entrepreneurship and "gracious professionalism.
