Spectator: Interdisciplinary Team Tackles Health Problems in Mexico

The Spring 2010 issue of Spectator, a monthly news source for University of Iowa alumni and friends, contains a special feature on a partnership between Iowans and residents of Xicotepec, Mexico, that has profoundly enriched the lives of both.

Concerned about poor water quality and the high incidence of intestinal parasites among local children, members of Rotary District 6000 and students and faculty from the UI College of Engineering to start designing and installing water treatment equipment at six of the local schools.
