Valentine Receives $299,993 NSF Grant

Richard Valentine, professor of civil and environmental engineering, has received a $299,993 grant from the National Science Foundation.

Co-principal investigators include David Cwiertny, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, and Tim Mattes, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering.

The research team will study the reaction of carbon nanotubes with free chlorine and monochloramine disinfectants, along with the byproduct formation and implications for nanotube environmental fate and toxicity.
