You must attach the page to a menu to get a hierarchical url such as www.engineering.uiowa.edu/research/transition-engineering-enterprise/emp....
At the bottom of the page select "Provide a menu link"
In the "Parent Item" section, select the menu and parent page that you want to attach the page to. In this example, the menu is the "Navbar: About" menu, and the parent item is the "About page".
Once you save the page, the hierarchical url will be www.engineering.uiowa.edu/about/test-page.
The Basic Page and Departmental Page content types must be attached to a menu.
Select the image icon in the editor toolbar.
This will open a dialog box. Press the blue "Browse Server" button.
This will open the "Upload New File" interface. Click "Browse" to locate the file on your local computer. Once you've selected your file to upload, click the "Upload Selected File" button below the "Browse" button.
Once you've uploaded the image, double-click the icon to get back to the previous dialog box.
Here you will need to type in some "Alternative Text" which will be used by "screen reader" software so that a person who is listening to the content of a webpage (for instance, a person who is blind) can interact with this element. Press "OK" when you are finished.
Highlight the text that you want to link to your document and click on the "Link" icon in the editor toolbar.
This will open the link dialog box. Press the "Browse Server" button.
This will open the server view of all of the available folders.
Make sure that you are in the root "Files" folder before you select the folder to upload to. The root "Images" folder is also in this server view, and you will not be able to upload documents into folders within the root "Images" folder.
