Civil and Environmental

Environmental Health EFA

Health professionals increasingly look to environmental engineers to assess and prevent environmental health risks. Civil and Environmental engineers with backgrounds in public and environmental health provide a valuable expertise in this regard. This EFA is designed to allow the interested civil and environmental engineering student some exposure to biomedical and public health issues.

This EFA is offered within the Environmental Subtrack of CEE and requires Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Health, and Water Quality. Environmental Engineering Design (53:157) is required as well and is counted as one design course. The Environmental Health Engineering EFA consists of an additional 21 semester hours (SH) of courses as listed in the table below.
