C-DOCS Project @ the University of Iowa

The C-DOCS Project is an extension of the international, interdisciplinary research project, IDOCS, being conducted at the University of Iowa by the Distributed Intelligent Agents Lab (DIAL), the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (CBCB), and the Center for Macular Degeneration.

We are seeking to answer two key research questions:
1. How can we create common, global ontologies from distributed groups of cancer clinicians and scientists?
2. How can we subdivide phenotypes to improve disease gene discovery process for cancer?
