C-DOCS Goals
The C-DOCS project goal is to provide cancer clinicians a user-friendly tool to collaboratively define new cancer phenotypes in an ontology.

C-DOCS builds on the research begin conducted on IDOCS, a software tool that enables eye clinicians worldwide to collaborate on defining new phenotypes for eye disease. IDOCS is currently a funded NIH/NEI BISTI project.

Motivation
The C-DOCS project is investigating the hypothesis that the disease gene discovery process will be improved using this agent-based software approach to:

1. Distributed Ontology Development
2. Collaborative Phenotype Consensus
