Abstract: While the mechanisms of plaque development in coronary arteries are not yet completely understood, vessel geometry and its influence on hemodynamics are of major importance. This manuscript presents an overview on our method for spatio-temporal modeling of the coronary arteries by fusion of data from x-ray angiography and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and elaborates on the aspects of 4-D computational hemodynamics as well as an approach to directly correlate vessel geometry with plaque morphology.
