Problem #15
Reservoir Capacity Curve

A bathymetric survey of a water supply reservoir in Missouri was recently carried out.  The minimum pool level is at an elevation of 689.6 feet.  The normal pool level is at the reservoir spillway elevation of 709.6 feet.  Use the bathymetric survey information for the reservoir to find the following:
  1. The elevation-storage relationship (known as the capacity curve).  Plot the results (elevation on the y-axis) and include as a figure in your solution (with figure # and caption).
  2. The dead storage (in acre-feet).
  3. The useful storage (in acre-feet).

Use units of feet for elevation, acres for elevation, and acre-feet for storage.
