Lesson 15: Changing Unit Hydrograph Durations

Learning Objectives

• State how the effective duration (t_r) of the unit hydrograph required for prediction is determined from the rainfall excess pattern
• Describe the two methods for changing the unit hydrograph from on effective duration to another
• Compute the S-Hydrograph given a unit hydrograph (the t_r-UH)
• Use the S-hydrograph to derive a unit hydrograph for any effective duration.
