The UIowa IEEE Chapter is a student organization, not the IEEE Professional Association, found at www.ieee.org. Membership in the professional association is not required to be a member of the student chapter, but it is strongly encouraged.

To sign up for the professional association, navigate to http://www.ieee.org/go/join_student. A small fee is required for membership in the professional association.
