As indicated from the descriptions of our research projects, the Iowa Spine Research Center has benefitted greatly from the ongoing support of public and private funding agencies as well as industry and corporate sponsors. Locally, our primary staff persons maintain full-time commitments to the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Orthopaedics. They have also worked hard to establish interdisciplinary collaborations with personnel from academic and clinical units both on and off campus.
