Chair: Frank K Attere
Born in 1988, Frank grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. He is a junior Industrial Engineering student. Before assuming the position of Chair, Frank was the Vice Chair. In addition to his duties in NSBE, he is also an Engineering Stuident Ambassador. Frank's hobbies include playing basketball, web designing and listening to music.
Vice-Chair: Mohamed Elkhair
Mohamed Elkhair is a junior Chemical Engineering student. Although he spent most of his life in Iowa City, he is originally from Sudan. His other responsibilities in school include being part of a research team and the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE).
Treasurer: Jerry Stone
Jerry Stone was born and raised in Iowa City. He is a senior Industrial Engineering student. He is the former Chair of NSBE and is the current president of the Multi-Ethnic Engineering and Sciences Association. His other interests are working for Whirlpool, biking and networking.
Senator: Jose Ponce
Jose Ponce grew up in a suburb of Chicago. He is a senior Electrical Engineering student with a focus area in embedded systems. Not only an active NSBE member, he is also the Chair of the Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers. His hobbies are swimming, painting and networking.
