Student Ambassador Application 

The student ambassador application includes 2 parts:

  1. The on-line application which is due Sunday, April 12, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. 

  2. A letter of recommendation from someone who works at the University of Iowa (examples: RA, faculty member, academic advisor, TA, hall coordinator, etc.); the letter can be sent electronically to jane-dorman@uiowa.edu no later than Monday, April 13, 2020 by 4:30 p.m

Inclusion Agent

Are you interested in promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment in the College of Engineering? Inclusion Agents work 5-8 hours/week to plan diversity, equity, and inclusion programs for Engineering undergraduates. Engineering Tutor

Engineering Tutoring is hiring tutors for Fall 2020! Tutors typically work one to three shifts per week (3 hours/shift), are paid for training and professional development, and can receive a tutoring certificate that is recognized on campus after two semesters of employment. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to become a Teaching Assistant or educator in the future.

Hanson Center Writing Tutor

Are you a confident, self-motivated writer who has received high grades on your essays and lab reports? Do you like helping your peers in small groups or one-on-one? If so, please apply to be a Peer Writing Tutor at the Hanson Center for Technical Communication (HCTC) in the College of Engineering.

Interested applicants should send an updated resume, brief cover letter explaining your interest and qualifications, and an engineering writing sample (e.g. the Statics essay) to HCTC Director Scott Coffel at scott-coffel@uiowa.edu.

Materials will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020. We will then contact qualified applicants for an interview.


sTAtics Jedi (Statics TA) and CircuiTAtor (Circuits TA)

Engineering Tutoring is looking for qualified candidates to join the sTAtics Jedi and CircuiTAtor teams for fall 2020! These positions combine the responsibilities of a TA and a Tutor to offer a comprehensive support structure for students enrolled in Statics and Circuits. sTAtics Jedi and CircuiTAtors work ten hours per week. The positions are two unique roles, but have the same application process. In the application, you will be able to indicate whether you would like to be considered for the sTAtics Jedi position, the CircuiTAtor position, or both TA positions.
