BME Discovery Day

Diversity Networking Reception
Students
Each year the College of Engineering holds two career fairs, one in late September/early October and another in early February. This is a great way for students to meet over 100 engineering, manufacturing, consulting and governmental organizations to discuss full-time, co-op and internship opportunities in the areas of Biomedical, Chemical, Civil & Environmental, Electrical & Computer, Industrial & Systems, and Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science.
The Spring 2021 Virtual Engineering Career Fair will be held virtually through Handshake on Thursday, February 11 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Companies will be in attendance looking for recent and upcoming graduates, interns and co-ops. Be prepared, dress professionally, and consider these other virtual interviewing tips.
Registering for the fair is easy through Handshake.
- Sign into your Handshake account
- Select “events,” then filter by clicking on “Career fair”

Employers
The fairs officially kick off the start of our fall and spring on-campus recruiting seasons. With over 100 companies and 800-1400 students attending each fair, regular presence on campus is essential to build and maintain your company's brand recognition and recruit top engineering talent.
The Spring 2021 Virtual Engineering Career Fair will be held on Thursday, February 11 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Registration will begin in late October on Handshake.
We strongly encourage companies to set up on-campus interviews the day after and fill their schedules at the fair. Companies are also welcome to come back to campus a few weeks later to conduct interviews.
With the competitive market for engineers, companies that attend our fairs have a marked advantage in recruiting our engineering students for co-ops, internships and full-time employment. It is vitally important to build your pipeline now and begin cultivating relationships with underclassmen as they begin exploring careers and companies.
