Neurodiversity Seminar

Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Online venue
University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA 52242

College of Engineering faculty, staff, and teaching assistants are invited to join the Inclusion Agents for a neurodiversity seminar. We are excited to announce that Katie Schabilion, PhD, NCSP from the Belin-Blank Center will be presenting on this topic. We feel that knowledge of and a new perspective on the student experience when one has a neurodiverse identity (such as ADHD or autism spectrum disorder) can transform how these students feel a sense of belonging within the College of Engineering. She also plans to give recommendations on supporting these students in the college setting.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Kristin Lang in advance at 319-353-5712 or kristin-lang@uiowa.edu.
