Joined the College of Engineering: 

Chelle Lehman joined the University of Iowa in the summer of 2014. She serves in the role of Outreach Director for Project Lead The Way (PLTW) at the University of Iowa, which is a state affiliate institution for the national PLTW program. She works with schools and community colleges across the state to help them implement new PLTW programs or sustain existing programs. She also works with schools to develop a strong partnership team that engages community leaders and industry partners. Chelle also works with teachers to help them recruit girls and underrepresented minority students to their PLTW classrooms. She is passionate about exposing K-12 students to engineering and the design process.

Chelle is originally from Eldorado, IL. She has lived in Iowa since 1990. Professionally, Chelle has taught elementary, junior high, high school, and community college classes, and has a K-12 teaching certification. She most recently worked as a caseload manager for the State of Iowa. She has a B.A. degree in Biology and teaching certification from the University of Iowa. She obtained her M.S. degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska.
