What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?

Get involved right away! You can meet amazing people.
What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?

I am an OnIowa! Leader which welcomes incoming students to campus. I am also a part of a religious organization on campus.
Have you had any international experience? If so, where did you go, for how long, and what did you do?

I am going to Heredia, Costa Rica this upcoming spring semester. I will be completing my sustainability credits by taking courses such as Tropical Landscapes.
How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?

I am something more due to my various employments outside of school. I have done research in the Environmental Engineering Department as well as a co-op position, a internship position, and the Peer Advisor for the Civil Department.
Have you done research with a professor? If so, what department was the professor in and what was your research about?

Yes I have. I work in Dr. Scherer lab which focuses of environmental geochemistry.  
Is there something else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

My favorite pastimes are hammocking and eating Mexican food.
What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?

The amazing people that I have met and are lucky enough to call my friends.
Who is your favorite professor and why?

Rick Fosse for sure. He is so relatable and easy to ask questions too. He has so much industry experience which is a cool point of view.
What has been your favorite course?

I loved my Principles of Environmental Engineering course. We were able to tour the university’s water plant which was very cool to see.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?

Any chance I get, I am either sleeping or spend it outside
