I did belong to Dance Marathon my freshman/sophomore year.

What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?

I love the small college of engineering on a Big Ten campus. This has allowed me to develop great relationships with all of my professors and classmates. These people have become great resources for me, which has really helped me to succeed in engineering.

Who is your favorite professor and why?

Professor Charles Stanier. I am taking my second course with Dr. Stanier now and I have gotten the opportunity to TA for his class last semester. He, like all of my professors, really cares about his students’ success and presents the material in a way that is easy to understand.

What has been your favorite course?

Chemical Process Safety. In this course, we learned about everything that could go wrong in a chemical plant and how to operate a plant to minimize the risk in a plant. It is super applicable material to people going to work in industry. Safety saves a lot of lives and money.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?

I enjoy taking advantage of the great restaurants in Iowa City and spending time with friends.
