What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?

Study hard and study often but don’t forget to find time to enjoy yourself.

What organizations outside the college of engineering do you belong to?

On Iowa!, Delta Zeta, Theta Tau, Hawkeye Ballroom Dance Company

How are you an "engineer ... and something more"?

I’m an engineer and something more because I love to dance and compete with the Hawkeye Ballroom Dance Company.

Is there something else you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I never planned on taking co-op but looking back I’m so glad I did! It gave me a great real world experience and opened up many doors for me including a full-time job with the company after I graduate! I highly recommend it!

What is your favorite part about being a student at The University of Iowa?

Learning to become a diehard Hawkeye fan and going to home games.

Who is your favorite professor and why?

Dr. Guymon is my favorite professor because he was my first professor in the College of Engineering and made class super entertaining because he would throw candy to those who answered questions or happened to fall asleep!

What has been your favorite course?

My favorite course was Chemical Process Safety because it related very closely to industry and what I experienced during my co-op.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time at The University of Iowa?

In my free time, I enjoy going to all the free events put on by CAB and all the other organizations on campus.
