The College of Engineering offers FREE tutoring 5 nights a week (Sunday through Thursday) from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. for calculus, chemistry, physics, and all core engineering courses.
Engineering Students Make a Difference
Students within the College of Engineering lead and participate in 30+ student organizations that make a difference on-campus, in the community, and throughout the world! A few examples include:
- Creating a campus rain garden (Engineers for a Sustainable World)
- Tutoring local K-12 children in math and science (Multi-Ethnic Engineering and Sciences Association)
- Teaching girl scout troops about engineering (Society of Women Engineers)
- Improving drinking water in global communities (Engineers without Borders)

Smart and Hardworking
In addition to an engineering degree, over half the Engineering@Iowa graduates complete a minor or a certificate or a second degree in an area outside of engineering. Recent examples include Music Performance, Spanish, Religious Studies, Studio Art, Dance, Technological Entrepreneurship, Geography, Psychology, Sustainability, Business...the list goes on!
